To be better
prepared and trained to respond to disasters in
Maryland and to meet certain Department of
Homeland Security deployment requirements, there
are certain disaster oriented courses that you
must complete. The courses/training are offered
free on line by the Emergency Management
Institute (EMI) of the Federal Emergency
Management Agency (FEMA) in Emmittsburg MD.

Then click on the course you wish to take and
follow the instructions to take the course.
When taking the course you can take it at any
time that suits your schedule, and return to it
as often as necessary to complete the work. Upon
course completion you will take an exam and if
you pass it receive a certificate of completion
from the Emergency Management Institute. Please
send a copy of your certificate to MDSART c/o
Management Alliance 8015 Corporate Drive, Suite
A Baltimore MD 21236 so we can enter your
accomplishments in the course completion
database.
